About us

TravelTek is one of the travel industry's leading SaaS providers. We have won the coveted 'World Leading Dynamic Packaging Solutions Provider' at the World Travel Awards for the last five years, and we'd like to continue that success. We have offices in the UK, US, Australia and India servicing our clients, 24/7, around the world. We've begun a process of migrating those clients from a legacy data centre infrastructure to AWS with a deadline of May 2020. We'd like you to deliver this on budget and on time and then focus on providing stable systems at the forefront of technology.


About the job

Somewhere in the world, at every moment of the day, people are booking their holidays. They want to do so seamlessly, through our clients, on our platform. System failure means that the customer is lost, possibly for good. Subsequently, we'll need you to get to grips with the current status of our migration project and take immediate ownership, delivering a smooth transition for our local and international clients, while ensuring peace of mind. At the same time, you'll be managing the current live AWS systems as well as the dev operations within Traveltek. 


Based in East Kilbride, 30 minutes south of Glasgow, you'll report into the CTO and support, guide and inspire a brilliant, knowledgeable systems team. You'll have a passion for AWS services, particularly EC2, S3, ElastiCache, Lambda and RDS and the insatiable appetite for technological evolution, now focusing on the travel industry - how can we make it easier for people to book holidays? You'll relish the responsibility of systems stability across our range of clients and enjoy working with the various internal and external stakeholders to make that happen. Equally, you'll have the know-how to deliver easily digestible reports to the management board on performance, development and cost efficiencies.

Essential requirements

  • 10+ years of experience with managing the development of integrated hardware and software systems in a technology business or commercial entity
  • 5 years of experience with managing projects using various SDLC models, including Scrum, SAFe, CMMI, Agile, and spiral development
  • AWS Certification / qualifications
  • Certified DevOps Professional qualifications
