We are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join our small but growing Finance Team. In this role you will deliver accurate and timely financial and management information to support decision making across the group.

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will have operational responsibility for leading, managing and developing the financial and management accounting function within Traveltek.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Oversee the production of monthly management accounts for all group companies, including provision of monthly variance analysis against budget
  • Maintenance of accurate financial records for the organisation; including day to day oversight of the sales and purchase ledger in collaboration with the Finance Administrator
  • Responsible for ensuring the robust monitoring of project-related or capital income and expenditure
  • Work with Finance Administrator to produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations and annual, detailed year end reconciliations
  • Collate, monitor and report on weekly, monthly and annual cash flow forecasts including robust reporting of forecast vs actual figures
  • Responsibility for preparation of monthly payroll files and all pension reporting obligations
  • Responsibility for preparation, reconciliation and submission of quarterly VAT Returns including annual adjustments relating to partial exemption rules as well as adherence with the Capital Goods Scheme and ensuring full compliance with VAT regulations
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget in conjunction with the Financial Controller and the on-going monitoring and reporting of the budget on a department basis
  • Support preparation of the statutory accounts and the year-end process, including providing support for year-end external audit
  • On-going monitoring of the systems of financial internal control contributing the maintenance of relevant policies and procedures
  • Undertake and perform any other responsibilities and duties as may be required which are appropriate to the scope and level of the post or the skills and abilities of the post holder

The Ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge and or experience: 

Essential:    

  • Professionally qualified ICAS / CCAB accountant
  • A minimum of 3yrs experience of managing the delivery of monthly reporting for a medium-sized enterprise 
  • Understanding, interpreting, and appropriately presenting financial information
  • Payroll experience 
  • Excellent organisational skills; ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound knowledge and practical experience of at least a majority of the areas including; financial accounting, management accounting, cash flow reporting, external reporting, VAT and Payroll.
  • Evidence of appropriate ICT skills
  • Advanced level in Excel

Desirable:

  • Degree in a relevant discipline
  • Experience in leading and managing daily financial processes 
  • Experience in using Quickbooks
  • Background in the Travel Sector or PE funded businesses
